
Rockwell College is buzzing with excitement as fifth-year student Anastasia Mazur returns from the prestigious BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition (BTYSTE) with a slew of impressive achievements.
Anastasia's project, titled "A Statistical Analysis into Students' Attitudes towards Sex Education in Irish Secondary Schools," made waves in the newly introduced Health and Wellbeing category. Competing in the senior individual section, Anastasia showcased her research prowess and passion for addressing critical issues in education.
A heartfelt thanks goes out to Ms. Helen Murray, Anastasia's chemistry teacher, whose unwavering support played a pivotal role in her success.
At the 60th annual BTYSTE held at the RDS, Anastasia's efforts were duly recognised. She clinched a Special Award from the Department of Education, presented by Norma Foley TD, Minister for Education (pictured below_. Additionally, Anastasia secured an impressive 2nd place in her category, earning her a glass trophy and a €225 cash prize. These accolades stand as a testament to Anastasia's dedication and the excellence of her research.
