Rockwell College is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Conor Desmond as Deputy Principal of Rockwell College, replacing Mr. Michael Doyle. Mr Desmond joins Rockwell College from Christ King SS Cork, where he taught Mathematics, Physics and Applied Maths for the last number of years. He has also held management positions as Year Head, TY Coordinator and head of Digital Learning at Christ King. In addition, Mr. Desmond has worked with the Professional Development Service for Teachers in the area of Applied Maths.


Mr. Desmond joins Rockwell College at a challenging time for school management. He takes over from Mr. Doyle who leaves after 44 years of exceptional care, dedication and service. Mr. Doyle started life at Rockwell College in the Catering College before transferring to the school as a teacher of Geography and English. He is rightly lauded by generations of past pupils who recognised and appreciated his wit, good humour and love of his work. He has served for 15 years as Deputy Principal and has been a constant support to his colleagues, to parents and pupils.
